The Burton was Partners' first project in 1995 after being abandoned in the mid-1980s. The building was literally crumbling when the restoration began. Originally built in 1919, it is one of the oldest apartment houses in Indianapolis. Rehabilitation preserved the Spanish Revival style of the preservation-minded neighborhood association of St. Joseph.
