Donate to the Residents

Second Starts Many of our residents are referred from shelters, hospitals, or even the street. They often arrive at our door with little more than the clothes on their backs. Because we work to provide the necessary tools to our residents, we try to arm them with items necessary for independent living—the things that make a space a home. Any items that you would like to donate may be picked up by our partners at Second Starts. Please contact them at 317.569.0089 or at secondstarts@secondstarts.org.

Second Starts is a non-profit organization that provides housewares to individuals and families who are moving from homelessness and into independent living. They provide our residents with a myriad of items, upon request and free of charge, including the following:

  • Towels (kitchen/bath)
  • Dishes
  • Glassware
  • Silverware
  • Pots/pans
  • Mixing bowls
  • Canisters/storage containers
  • Baking dishes
  • Kitchen utensils
  • Lamps
  • Clocks
  • Curtains
  • Rugs
  • Light bulbs
  • Small appliances (toasters, mixers, irons, etc.)

Volunteer

Our partners offer several regular volunteer opportunties. If you or a group would like to tour a property and create a volunteer experience, please contact Lee Ann Harper via online message or phone (317.633.1861 Ext. 105).
